Isabelle Geneviève Marie Anne “France” Gall was a French yé-yé singer. France Gall won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965, representing the Luxembourg, with a song written by Serge Gainsbourg, « Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son ». She was married to, and had a successful singing career in partnership with, French singer-songwriter Michel Berger, until his death in 1992. France Gall died of an infection complicated from cancer on 7 January 2018 at the age of 70. The “Simple Je”: Live @ Bercy ’93 concert was recorded in September 1993, during the shows of the 23th and the 25th, at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
