Biography
Talk Talk were an English musical group founded in 1981.Talk Talk was part of the British new wave movement. They had a string of early hit singles including « Talk Talk », « It’s My Life », « Such a Shame », « Life’s What You Make It » or « Living in Another World ».Talk Talk broke up in 1991. Singer Mark Hollis released one solo album before retiring from the music industry.25 years after the release of what The Guardian called their masterpiece album, Spirit of Eden(1988), Talk Talk is still praised as a classic example of a band refusing to compromise its art to commercial pressure, and Hollis and his bandmates are one of the acts that came out of the synthpop movement of the 1980s whose music remains influential today.Live at Montreux 1986 is a concert video release by the British band Talk Talk of a concert at 1986 Montreux Jazz Festival. The show was part of a tour that started in April 1986 to promote the band’s recent album The Colour of Spring, and was to be their only appearance at Montreux, from their last tour. The video, recorded on the 11th July 1986, captures Talk Talk at the peak of their career.
