Biography | |||||||||||
U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin formed in 1976. U2’s early sound was rooted in post-punk but eventually grew to incorporate influences from many genres of popular music. Throughout the group’s musical pursuits, they have maintained a sound built on melodic instrumentals. Their lyrics, often embellished with spiritual imagery, focus on personal themes and sociopolitical concerns. The Vertigo Tour was a worldwide concert tour in support of U2’s 2004 album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, visiting arenas and stadiums from 2005 through 2006. Much like the previous Elevation Tour, the indoor portion of the Vertigo Tour featured a stripped-down, intimate stage design. Protruding from the main stage was an ellipse-shaped catwalk that encapsulated a small number of fans. The tour was depicted in three concert films: Vertigo 2005: Live from Chicago, Vertigo 2005: Live from Milan, and U2 3D. The Vertigo Tour: Live From Argentina ’06 concert is a live video recorded on the 2nd March 2006 at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina during U2’s 2005-2006 Vertigo Tour. The concert was broadcasted live on radio. Continue Reading · From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
