UB40 are a British reggae/pop band formed in 1978 in Birmingham, England.

UB40 has had more than 50 singles in the UK Singles Chart, and has also achieved considerable international success. One of the world’s best-selling music artists, UB40 have sold over 70 million records.

UB40’s hit singles include their debut “Food for Thought” and two U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number ones with « Red Red Wine » and « (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love ». Both of these also topped the UK Singles Chart, as did the band’s version of « I Got You Babe ».

The Live at Rockpalast ’82 concert, filmed at Freilichtbühne Loreley in St. Goarshausen, Germany, on the 29th August 1982 for the Rockpalast TV series, after the release of the first three UB40’s album, UB44 (1982), Present Arms (1981), and Signing Off (1980). The set list is drawn almost exclusively from those three albums and includes all their early hits.
