| Calogero began his career in the 80s as Charlie, teen heartthrob and lead singer of Les Charts.
But when the trio split he made his name as a talented melodist writing material for the leading stars of his generation. In 2000, Charlie re-emerged as Calogero and proceeded to forge a reputation as a solo artist. Crowned by a recent “Victoire de la Musique” award, he has established himself as one of the most popular new faces on the French musical mainstream. Singer, composer and musician, Calogero has been pursuing his solo career for the past 15 years. Paying particular attention to lyrics and melodies, he has developed a musical style that he himself qualifies as pop-rock. In May 2014, he released Un jour au mauvais endroit, first single from the album Les Feux d’artifice, which recounts a double murder at Echirolles, the town of his birth, in 2012. A huge success, this track earned him the « Original song» award at the Victoires de la musique in 2015. He has no trouble packing out some of France’s major music venues and his concert is sure to be one of the densest and most absorbing concerts of the year. Good session! Enjoy! |
