Christophe Miossec is a French singer and songwriter from Brest.

Christophe Miossec initially captured attention with the release of his debut album Boire in 1996, with a stunning collection of nervous and distressed songs.

Since then, the outstanding personality of Miossec has continued to express itself with a long list of poetic and raw songs, making of Miossec one of the most important French rock contributors.

Miossec began his relationship with the French audience 20 years ago, offering them a drink with the album Boire. This Breton way of seducing turned out to be darned efficient: two years later, Baiser was released and, with major lyrics and crucial songs, the man from Brest shifted the point of equilibrium of French music towards the West and the focal point of his lyrics from his belly to his heart. Christophe Miossec’s ninth record, Ici Bas, Ici Même, released in 2014, revealed once again he was a huge songwriter dominating a French scene largely indebted to his precious Etreinte, or embrace, and to his unique way of putting his heart and soul in his chords. Miossec will be playing at Rock en Seine for the first time.
