[1993-…], Fagersta, Västmanlands län, Sweden |
|Early 90s, The Hives wanted to change the world with a vintage garage rock directly imported from the sixties.
To achieve it, they decided to wear impeccable black and white suits and improbable scene names (Dr. Matt Destruction, bass, Chris Dangerous, drums …) and to act in fact as if they were still living in 1960. So much so that the singer Howlin ‘Pelle Almqvist was often compared to Mick Jagger: same gestures, same way of performing every show as if it were the last …
Since then, the rock of The Hives sounds like a euphoric space-time interlude in which everyone always wants to dive in. Wild and fantastic.
Well-known for their explosive and excessive live performances, The Hives take care of their look as much as their music. With their famous black and white suits and their incredibles stage names, they still play a vintage sixties Garage rock sound, simply wild and fantastic.
Good session! Enjoy!
