James Blake Litherland, known as James Blake, is an English singer, songwriter, musician and producer from London.

James Blake first received recognition in 2010 for a trio of dubstep-influenced EPs, and the following year his self-titled debut album was released in the United Kingdom to critical praise.

James Blake’s second studio album Overgrown was released in 2013 and was awarded the Mercury Prize. His third studio album The Colour in Anything was released in 2016. Blake has also released remix work under the moniker Harmonimix.

Blake received his first Grammy nomination at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards for Best New Artist. At the 2014 Brit Awards, Blake was nominated for the Brit Award for British Male Solo Artist.

When he was little, James Blake’s parents often talked to him about the Montreux Jazz Festival. Maybe it’s because he was living out a childhood dream that this master of electronic music’s previous two concerts at the Lab were perfect moments of poetry and fantasy. The former dubstep producer plunged the room into a state of hesitant contemplation, pausing reality with his emotional keyboards. His third album, Radio Silence, which should be out this April, will certainly reveal new galaxies in the starry sky of haunting electronica. Without in any way diluting the masculine tension of his on-stage presence.
