LITERARY ROCK CHANSON
With their timeless allure and deceptively phlegmatic attitude Radio Elvis strip down the codes of rock and French chanson in order to create a new, modern vision. Elegant and ambitious, the trio could have seen the light of day in London in the company of King Krule or in the Bordeaux of the rock years, but Paris is where they compose. The generous guitar and synthetic sounds mix proudly with the lyrics and place the group firmly in the tradition of rock musicians who express their love of the French language, inspired by its literature. Reminiscent of Dominique A., Thiéfaine or Bashung and his short, image-laden phrases, Radio Elvis have managed to emancipate themselves from their role models to write their own travel book.
